Turning memories into a memorial book
A memorial book gathers the photos and stories people shared into pages the family can hold and pass down. Collect everything in one place first, give people a few weeks to add to it, then lay out every photo and story with captions and names, and print enough copies for everyone who’ll want one.
When should the book be printed?
Once people have had time to share, which is usually a few weeks. Kept books usually arrive about six weeks after the service, and the family decides when to send the book to print.
What goes in a memorial book?
Every photo and story from the page, with the name of whoever shared each one, so friends’ stories stay in their own words. Kept lays them out in a softcover book.
Anything the family removes from the page stays out of the book.
How many copies do we need?
Count the households who’ll want one: parents, children, siblings and the closest friends. Essential and Signature include ten softcover copies. Extra copies are $95 each, ordered before the book prints, because a reprint afterward is a new print run, priced on its own.
How does the book get to the family?
We ship every copy together to one address the family chooses, anywhere in the world. Shipping is included.
Can we add a book later?
Yes. On the Basic plan, the page comes first, and the family can add the book when they’re ready, for $1,350. That includes the ten softcover copies.
What if we’re making the book ourselves?
Gather everything in one folder first, with a caption and a name for each photo. Scan prints at a high resolution, keep each story in the writer’s words, and order a single proof copy to check before printing for everyone.
